You may feel that Shania is not country enough, but her new CD "Up" is full of mandolin, banjo, fiddle, Brent Mason and Paul Franklin. If you want to know what to play on a records of today catch Paul on this one, he does a great job.

No you will not hear an augmonlished or demented chord progression with 1960 staccato licks on a shuffle, but you will hear small single note licks and runs on one string or two that FIT. You gotta play what fits if you care to be a part of the band no matter what you play or where. Paul does, nice job Paul.

If you are looking around askings why you may not be giging anymore this may shed some light on that issue.

I bought the CD last night. It has 2 CD's in the same box. One is more of the acoustic mix with those down home instruments and the other CD that comes with it is the same songs with more of a rock and energetic mix. Personally I liked all the songs and some of them were hits to me.

And yes I was listening to Paul Franklin and as usual he adds a magic touch to the album.

My wife already stole my CD set so now I'll probably purchase my own personal copy again.

I really like this album set.

Nice work Mr. Franklin.
