Last I knew, Phil still lives in Branson. I don't think he's on-line. If you can find a Branson area steeler, I am sure you'll find Phil. - DJ -

Phil Coontz is'nt registered at Online Steelers of the World Unite.
he does'nt seem to be emailable either...

Phil was the first steel player and guitar player I met when I moved to Branson in 1998. Quite the player he is. I loved his White D-10 Sho-Bud he had the night I met him at "Beverlys" out on The "Loop" the first Wed. night I moved there, which is JAM night. I met some monster players there many times after that night. I have no idea though if Phil is still playing in Branson.

Last time I saw Phil he was playing the Grand Ladies of Country Music show at the 76 Theater (same location as the Brumley show). Dan
