Fred outdid himself this time for sure!!..He is gonna have to expand the building next time..Record crowd this time and the best pickin I've ever heard. There were too many great sets to describe! The jam with Larry, Moe and Curley was outstanding! "Lump" was on fire and set a killer pace and the other two guys, who ever they were, stayed right on top of it! I wouldnt name players for fear of leaving someone out. Winston did great with the sound (hair and all). Boogie and his crew were kickin butt for two days (back up band) and a good time was had by all. We sure got our money's worth when we got Ben!!
Fred, if Ben wasn't so serious natured it would be nice to let him play some next time
DEAN DOBBINS..You've got one comming!!!
Thanx fer the invite!
Jack

Posted this earlier in Events & Announcements...

I only caught the Saturday show and I understand Friday was standing room only.
Thanks again, Fred, for a great show. I seldom get down the road to see Chuck Rich at Bobbie Macky's, but I can always count on seeing him at Lexington.

We got to see Hall of Famers, Herby Wallace, John Hughey and Hal Rugg share the stage. They were followed by the great Joe Wright who, in closing the show, billed his set as "Music to Pack Up By". Jeff Newman students will appreciate the parody.

Did Neil Hilton make the show? I didn't see him Saturday.

PS: Added some great stuff to my steel CD collection. This trip I added Joe Wright, Greg Jones (his 1st CD) and Hal Rugg.

PSS: Joe Wright Steeling the Country Classics Vol 1-3 is stuck in my CD player, I think maybe forever, or at least until I leave the office and have to take it with me. Oh, what to do?
