James here, Buzz's son. My sister Debbie Bissaillon keeps up with Buzz's email as he is too busy playing the music! Buzz has been playing a lot of out-of-town gigs lately, but you can call him and find out where he's playing or send them an email.

I just got back from Vegas and spent a couple of days with Buzz off and on. I believe he is in Arizona this weekend-and then I'm not sure. He's usually doing pickup gigs if his band isn't working. He no longer does the street show downtown-they wanted him to reduce the budget and he said no.

I honestly think he is one of the top ten players on the planet. If you can catch him somewhere, drop everything and go...

Buzz is a pickers picker,on both steel & standard, ..see him if you can! Tommy Wayne may be playing in one of the casinos with some band, ..maybe Sams town or Boulder station.

I think Tommy Wayne is playing at Arizona Charlie's this week and I'm at Harrah's on Sunday from Noon till 6P.M. I'm not shure where Buzz is this weekend, but I have to call him tomorrow about a gig next month so I'll find out where he'll be.

Hi Ronnie!

Well, he's on loan from elsewhere in the universe....Buzz will never die, he'll just get "Beamed Up".

I was in Las Vegas a few years back and went to one of the lounges at a casino that had a local band. There was a guy who played guitar and once in a while he played steel. He told me about a place that had a sunday night Steel jam session. I can't remember the name of it but it was a pretty local place. It's located near the Texas and Fiesta Casino's. It's a joint but lots of fun. There were 3-4 steel players. I sat in on one of their guitars and had a ball. They weren't quite used to all the Ray Price and Texas music I played and they really enjoyed it. They were more into the California Scene. They had me play most of the night with others set up at the same time. Had a great night.

Anyone know anything more specific about the steel jam Roger mentioned? I'll be there next Sunday with a night off and would love to know if/where it is. Also, updated info on who'll be playing where for the few nights after would also be great. Thanks.

I forgot to post that Buzz is out of town for a couple of weeks.
The jams in town are:

"THE Idle Spurs" on Charleston & Rainbow
1113 S. Rainbow BLVD 702-363-7718

And one at "Saddles'n'Spurs"
2329 N. Jones Blvd.
(702)646-6292 on Smoke Ranch and Jones(a few blocks west of the Fiesta Hotel) it used to be on Thursday night, but they may have it on Sunday nights now.

Roger,
What did this guitar player look like?
I think I know who he is.
