James:
Welcome. I'm a new member -- just a few days now. This forum will be of tremendous help to you as a new steeler. I atrted playing steel about 60 years ago, and I am still learning. One thing you need to keep in mind is that there is just about all of the steel guitar knowledge in the world right here on this forum. Don't EVER be ashamed to ask any question here. These guys are great. Most of them have "been there and done that", and they can be a great resource.

Hello James
Two things. First, you are a student of Roy's, well it can't get any better than that. Second, I'm just across the pond in Stephenville Newfoundland. I'll do all I can to help you out, but I don't think I can do much with Roy coaching you. Welcome to this great forum and the best advice I can give you is to speak up, ask questions of all these guys and most of all enjoy picking
Cheers.....Fred |
