Hey y'all, I'm going to be in NYC from 10/13 - 10/18. Since I've seen a few players on here from NYC, I figured I'd ask. Is there any pickin' goin' on up there? It doesn't have to be country, I'm up for anything. Also, I sold a 1984 Super Pro to a guy up there about 3 years ago. I know the odds are kinda slim, but has anyone seen it? Just wondering if it's being played out anywhere

Thanks
David

Hank's on Atlantic and 3rd ave in Brooklyn has the mighty Gerald in the steel chair every sunday night. Thurs nights I play jazz sub-standards at the Right Bank on Kent st in Brooklyn also. There is always a slew of local yocals playing steel for beers and pizza money on this side of the river.
E me when you hit town. There is always lots of everything going on.

Bob

Hey David, check this website: www.rodeobar.com they usually have great bands and the place is really fun to go to. There are links to the differents acts on the schedule. Too bad you will miss the Western Caravan, they are a great Western Swing Band that plays there regularly.

Hey David,
Just saw your homestate boy Ryan Adams last thursday at the Beacon Theater, what a show. Pretty much of a solo gig, but that guy can sing and write a song, and not just one!.

I really like the new disc 'Demolition', some real nice steel work from Bucky Baxter and Greg Leiz. They add just the right touch.

Ryans music is all about the song and his choice of intsruments is very precise. Thank God he likes the steel!

Have fun in NYC it's a great town besides what everyone says, the people are real friendly. Too bad you'll miss the PSGA show in nearby Norwalk Ct. on Nov 9&10th.

Cheers, Craig
