I saw Rusty Young and Poco last night and all I can say is, what a show! Rusty still makes that Carter sing. When he did the right handed chimes at the beginning of "In the Heart of the Night", the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I've said in previous posts that I think Rusty Young's work on the album Suite Steel is the best on that album. Thirty years later he still has those great chops! If the tour (also includes Marshall Tucker and Dickey Betts) comes to your area, go see it. You won't be disappointed. |

Jim-- yes, it is the same lineup as when I saw them two years ago. Rusty on guitar, pedal steel and lap steel, Paul Cotton on lead guitar, George Grantham on drums. Dang, I can't think of the bass players name. He has only been with them 17 years so he's still the new guy! haw! |

Just a "heads up" for anyone looking forward to a Poco show: I saw them last year, and they were really great, but Rusty played pedal steel on only a couple of tunes and a couple others on lap steel. The rest of the tunes, Rusty played six string electric guitar and sang. If you're a fan of Poco you will enjoy it! |
