If anyone knows the first track on Buddy Emmons' Steel Guitar Jazz album "Bluemmons" - I know it's basically just a 12-Bar, but what IS that first chord? It's got something 'grungy' in it - a flat or sharp 5 or 9? And there are some more lovely grungy chords later. Any chance of getting that first chord on my lapsteel C6 tuning?
Thanks.

C7+9:
D#
Bb
E
C (low)
What is your lapsteel C6? You probably can't play the low C but you can play the other 3 notes using open E, and the other 2 notes at the 3rd fret.
If you use the Junior Brown C6 with a low B flat string, then the D#,Bb,E are all at fret 6.

Incidentally, I see that track is called "Bluemoons" on my CD...
