Has anyone seen or heard of a steel guitar with a string spacing wider at the nut than at the bridge? I would appreciate any info why such a Steel might have had such a spacing.

Thank You,
Aloha,
Denny T~

I might be mistaken, but I think that Erby Mandrell told me back in the late 50's or early 60's when I got my first Sierra (serial number 15), that Chuck Wright had experimented with that configuration of spacing. Maybe David will jump in and tell us yes/no about this.

Thanks Roy. I'll be watching for it. Would you happen to remember why Wright might have tried / used that string spacing?

Aloha,
DT~
