Doug sat next to me at the Portland steel jam Sunday. I had him play first and I played last to separate his playing from mine so maybe the difference would not be so noticable. This guy plays his butt off, if you ever wanted to hear a ton of steel come see Doug play he is the total package.

Thanks DJ for a great day.

I could not agree more, I caught Doug down in Eugene a few years back. He can make it sing.

Hi SGF:

Actually both Doug Jones and Larry Behm did a fine job playing at the Portland Steel Jam held at Canby, Oregon this past Sunday afternoon.

And the other players who participated in the jam also played very well thereby making the event most enjoyable.

The turnout was probably smaller than expected because the event was held on "Mother's Day" and even steel players probably have mothers. Quite a few players turned up but didn't bring their axes.

I'll be posting my photos of the jam sometime this week for all to see.

Have a good week.

Mr. Behm did a great job putting together this most enjoyable program. His selection of tunes made it possible for working musicians and low-timers alike, to be able to participate with confidence. The smaller crowd gave everyone a great opportunity to play and be heard. Thanx Mr. Behm and Doug Jones too!

Thanks for the kind words. Monster; I don't think so! Let's just say I feel settled and confident in my style and it's fun to step outside one's normal gig and be inspired to stretch.
