Sold a couple of stomp boxes on ebay that i didn't use anymore. One sale turned out very well and the other very dissapointing. I took the buyers at their word and shipped them the gadgets before i recieved the money, big mistake on my part. Since both auctions closed 2 weeks ago, i can't get a response from one of the buyers and Ebay tells me he has been kicked off their auction since he is a repeat offender. I know, shame on me. But if you live in or near Chino, CA, email me and i'll tell you who to avoid doing business with , or if you just want his name. Woe iz me.

From a fellow Mississippian, I had a similar experience with a person I met through the Forum. He seemed to be an honest person and even talked about playing in church. I sent him a mint Nashville 400 for $375 and that has been months ago and have not received one dime. He lives in Arkansas and if I ever
see his name on the Forum I will expose him.
Sorry about your misfortune. I would like to trust people but obvioulsy that day is
forever gone. Sorry. Bill

I used to do deals as COD. In the past few years i have been prepay only or forget it. That's the only way to go. Remember, YOU have what THEY want. Ever ask one of these pro steelers to send you their new CD and you will send them a check after you get it? Of course not.

I wouldn't hesitate to expose someone who didn't pay up. You're doing them a favor by not telling everyone about them and down the road it'll happen again to someone else.

If I were you Skip and Bill, I would expose these guys as deadbeats. I agree with Frank that you are doing him a favor by not giving his name.

I'm not sure whether he has given me his correct name and address or not, but i do know that Ebay cancelled his account. If you know a fellow named Ken Coyle from Chino, Ca, please ask him to email me with some kind of reason for his lack of response to my emails. If he has a reasonable explanation ??, i'll apologize for posting his name. As some of you have stated, i don't want anyone else to get ripped. Thanks for all your responses.--Skip

Harry, yessir there is 2 sides to every story. I would sure like to have the fellow that i am in doubt of, email me and tell me his side of this thing. But he doesn't respond to my email, he has had his ebay account discontinued, and he has the gadget that i sent him at his request with a promise that he would send me the fee via Western Union. I have been advised that keeping the info quiet could only be helping him rip others off.

Everyone has convictions, mine are that our sins will find us out, always. The truth will set us free, and God will by no means allow sin to go unpunished, including mine. Thanks for your observations and i totally agree that we should help and support each other here on the Forum, as long as it's the right thing to do.

I have been encouraged to place on the Forum the name of the person who has not sent me money for the Nashville 400. There are two reasons why I have not done this. One I do not know if he is living. What if he were killed in an accident for example leaving a wife and children who are not aware of this debt. In this case I would forgive the debt.
So I want to know if he is still out there.
Second, if he can be contacted I want to inform him that his name will be revealed on the Forum if he does not respond. It has been posted here that there are two sides to every story. My side is very simple. A man
bought my amp and I agreed to ship it since he promised to send the money. This evidently was an unwise decision on my part which I will never do again. I think this person will have a contact within a week and if he does not respond his name will appear on the Forum. I only wish someone on the Forum had warned me about this person before I did business with him. It has been suggested that maybe Forum members should stay out of situations like this. I may still decide to withdraw from the matter and let one or more of you experience the same thing. Thanks for positive feedback that has come to me.

If the person is a total stranger, I suggest using an escrow service like escrow.com or escrow.ca (in Canada).

Or maybe we all should just make purchases from reputable dealers or individuals like those that have proven themselves to be worthy of our hard earned $$$. There is a ton of em right here on this Forum. that's my lesson well learned. PTL
