I am listening to "The Steel Guitar Tribute to Eric Clapton" CD, which is four steel players playing all EC songs. Two of them are The Forum's own Johnny Cox, and Gary Morse, the others are Steve Fishell, and Rick Byrd. I am familiar with all the players but Rick Byrd. He does a great job on "Wonderful Tonight", why haven't I heard more from him?
BTW this is a great CD all the way through, Clapton has written a lot of songs that make great steel guitar instrumental songs.

Jim,
I've had it for a few months, I think I got it from CD Universe on the web. It's one of my favorite steel CD's. I think most of the songs have double steel parts, with only drums, acoustic guitar, bass, and some mandolin for backing. There are no vocals, and no keyboards covering up the good music.
