Yep, Bud Carter's the man however back in those days he was "Red" Carter and could have been maybe 58 to 59 to 60 right in that time frame. Had a fiddle player named Don Russell, now deceased, who could entertain you big time. Also a young man named Dale Sled who later became a member of the Osburn Bros. (tellin my age here but what the hey ??????)
A place just out of Jefferson City called Hillybilly Village was a hot spot in those days also.
Speaking of Scotty, did you know he onced played with a Roy Queen band called "The Brush Apes" ??? - |
