I'm in need of a few more photos for the book I'm writing on lap steel guitar. Can any forumites help? I need high quality 300 dpi .tiff or large (22") .72 dpi.jpeg photos from private owners of the following guitars:

-Gibson Console Grande
- Rick Bakelite with silver plates
- Rick Silver Hawaiian
- National , Valco, Supro, Airline steel
- Rope-bound Weissenborn
- Close ups of headstocks with logos are helpful too.

The background needs to be as neutral/one solid color as possible. I can't use any shots from other books. These need to be shots you took or have the rights to offer.

Many thanks to the many forumites who've already contributed many great photos and here's hoping folks can help with these.

Andy:
I have a Supro, I don't know what model it is but it most closely resembles the "Supreme" photo on Brad's Page of steel. Let me know if this one is of interest to you.

Thanks, Harry. If it's a well lit, well shot high res photo against a white or neutral background I can certainly use it!

Andy, you can count on me for the Silver Hawaiian.

It is however, going to be a tough one to shoot with a dead on flash.

I also have the Airline "Rocket" if you want that. BTW, it is a kickin', wailin' guitar...

Andy,
I have a Supro just like the Console 8 on Brads page but it's a 6 string. If you want it, I'll send you a photo.

Sure, Mike. Thanks.

Unsolicited plug:
By the way, Boston area forumites should try to catch Mike's upcoming gig with Jim Cohen at Johnny D's on Monday night May 19th, starting at 8:30pm.

Thanks Scott. I already have high res images of a pristine New Yorker.

To all: Several folks have been kind enough to send photos and I'm very appreciative however the demands of publication are pretty exacting. I can't use small 72 dpi files - and especially if these were just saved from ebay or somewhere on the net. Shots from old catalogs of defunct companies however are fair game. The ideal photo is a 300 dpi or better .tif that the sender shot themselves or can give rights to use. Next best is a 72 dpi jpeg shot with a digital camera that's about 22 inches wide in its native .jpeg format. This size jpeg can then be downconverted in size and up-converted in resolution to a 300 dpi .tif without significant quality loss.

I'm sorry for turning into a serial bumper.

I'm still trying to track down a high quality shot of a Supro and/or Valco lap steel - wide and close up for the book. Any assistance is most appreciated. Thanks.

Howard is on the case and professor Aiello too. Still seeking a rope-bound Weissenborn & a Supro or Airline. Got some great ones but they had been plucked off the net somewhere.

I've never seen or played one, Bobbe. You must have me confused with someone - perhaps Jerry Byrd or Buddy Emmons?

'wouldn't mind a copy of that photo in hi-res though. (hint)
