Needless to say, I enjoyed ALL the players, their styles and techniques were just amazing.
But, my biggest thrill there was seeing how happy Bill Lawrence was with his new found eyesight. That was my biggest thrill.

Many great thrills at St. Louis for me, too Bill. Renewing friendships, seeing and hearing so many great players. Spending some time with Speedy West, and once again hearing that marvelous tone from Bill Stafford rates high up on my list!! Also great to see so many old friends from around the country.

Hello Bill,
I enjoyed getting to talk with you about the making of "My Own Private Idaho." What a great soundtrack to a most unusual movie! Hope all is well.

Hi Chuck and Billy:
It was great to have been with both you guys. Enjoyed it all very much.
Yes, that movie was quite an experience. True story you know. Facts of life.
Thanks for the good times.

No, cataracts. Now, if we can get his ears checked, we'll be all set. I too am very happy that his operation went well. The whole music industry is better for having this man working and playing with us. 'Course, now that he's had a good look at me, he's having second thoughts.
