I found a old lap steel at a Goodwill store and need some info on it, date, etc. Click The link to see photos. Any info will be appreciated. There are no numbers on it anywhere. http://pages.prodigy.net/steelio/_wsn/page9.html

Looks like a Fender Deluxe 6 from between 1950 and 1957. How much do they want for it? It should be a great sounding steel.

I bought it and cleaned it up. Paid $20 for it. Not to bad.

As a kid I heard you could buy a brand new jeep, preserved in cosmoline, for only $20.00. Now my dream is finding a Fender lap steel at Goodwill for $20.

I was just telling someone last night that the days of these kinds of finds are over. I'll have another helping of crow, please.

I find some cool things every now and then. Got a Fender Tweed Tremolux amp for $150 at a pawn shop recently (talked 'em down from $250).

I found my 50' Tweed Champ in a friends garage attic, his brother-in-law had just left it for 20 years. Took me 2 minutes to talk him into giving it to. Had it 20 years now.
