I am about to start playing pedal steel, and I need to find somebody from whom I can learn the necessary techniques.

I live half an hour north of Fort St. John, BC.

I am seventeen years old, and have just ordered my first guitar (a Carter D10, 8&5, to be exact. I'll probably post a little note on here when it arrives.)

Is anyone out there in the general vicinity?

Thanks, Lincoln Goertzen

...can't help you there, but I just wanted to say that's a nice axe to start out with! You won't be held back by the equipment...good luck with it, you learn fast when you're 17...

I heard from somewhere that Dick Krueger, who used to play out of Calgary some years ago and who by all accounts was real good, lives in Prince George now. But that's probably just as far away from you as Edmonton is. If you get down this way (and a lot of folks from your neck of the woods do from time to time) drop me a line and we can arrange something - I'd be happy to show you a few things.
