In keeping with *my* policy of not posting on active auctions, I'd like to get some feedback on this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2515304803

This is the second one of these babies that I've seen in the past few months. I think the other that I saw might have been an Oahu. Both had the pinstriping, and both had the horseshoe.

The horseshoe is what interests me. How could these have been in production when Epiphone was sued into submission? Was the manufacturer of these guitars sued by Rickenbacher as well? Also, does anyone know how they sound? The price doesn't seem too outrageous for this one.

Thanks for any info,
Kerry

I remember that one ... If I'd have followed it ... I would have bid more than that

It seems Rickenbacher "farmed out" alot of stuff ... the magnets used by the various non-Ricky steels were probably the same as the Rickys. I imagine the bobbin is very similar too ..

Bet it sounds good
