DREAM ON! Right?

I wonder if they just grab those figures out of the blue or if they are actually suggested retail prices from somebody

The '38 is most likely a wartime and the '35 is definately not a '35. I've seen frying pans for $5k.

Jeff: I tend to agree that all lap steel prices (including these) are pretty reasonable --i.e., compared to many other vintage guitars.

But these prices seem outrageously high compared to the lap steel prices I see in Buy and Sell, the shops that I frequent, and eBay. I imagine every now and then someone scoops up a $40 1938 B6 or a $75 Frying Pan from an unsuspecting seller (young or old) at a garage sale, but most of us expect to pay much more. However, it seems as if Freedom Guitar is stretching the limits 2x ... or 3x?

And please understand that this is the opinion of a guy who did NOT grow up with 5-cent sodie pop. It was at least a dime when I was a kid!

Frypans price ain't too bad ... but it has been altered at the mounting plate ... somethin' don't look right ??

The others ain't bad either ... if you want to spend 1K for a matching amp

I sent the Frypan back- NOT "from the 30's" like the ad said. Seller agreed "he made a mistake" and price should be around $1500 ( I still think that's high, tho not a bad guitar). Should be interesting to see how he re-lists it. They were very nice about the return policy. Thank you Alvin for the tip, and thanks to Rick A. for your valuable advice!
