Here is a link to my first weissenborn tune recording. Many thank's to Steinar for hosting the tune for me.

This tune is a simple arrangement of the Jimi Hendrix song, "Little Wing". Recording chain was a Zoom MRS4 digital recorder, Rode NT3 mic. My weissenborn "Annie" was recorded from it's k&k mini pickup system and at the same time, milked with the Rode mic. An Ellis Stomp box was also used for some rhythm accompliment.

The tuning is a minor open D. That is DADFAD.

If you would like to take a look at my "Annie" here are two pic's. I would like to thank my friend and local guitar maker Taffy Evans for making this beautiful instrument fo me. She has a Cedar top, New Guniea Rosewood back and sides, Western Australia Jarrah fretboard and bridge.

PS Some constructive critism would be great from you all cause I want to improve myself!!! I know the song has some warts and it wasn't recorded live with vocal but it will happen sometime. More practise!!!!!

Alan, that tune was satisfying in every way. Nice steel arrangement; nice vocals. Keep up the good work!

Craig.

Well done, Alan! A great arrangement and performance of one of my favorite songs. I love how this song is a vehicle for each guitarists individual creativity to come thru. Yours is a beautiful version, played on a beautiful instrument. Thanks for sharing...

Thank's for you comments Tom. Having tunes to re-event like "Little Wing" just reminds me how much Hendrix was before his time and how good he was as a song writer.

Merry Christmas

Cheers
