Just curious to know what you think of them. Thanks, Don

Those are the long ones with the long tapered bullet end. They're supposed to be good for an 8-string.

I have one and I used to use it with a Dobro. Sometimes it was nice to have the extra length; sometimes it was a pain. I neither love nor hate it.

Currently I mostly use an SP-2. A little more controllable, I suppose. The grooved bars don't make reverse slants very easy... but due to a little arthritis in the hands I find they are easier to control than the round bars.

Your experience may be different.

Craig.

I have used these on my resophonics regularly. The extra length helps me when playing a show where I could be switching back and forth between pedal steel (with my BJS ten string bar) and dobro, even on the same song. If I were to use a shorter bar on the dobro, it would take time for my hand to adjust to the shorter bar.

Find a bar size and type that fits your hand and your playing style, and stick with it.

Thanx,
Jim

The SP1 has the hook on the end. I have at least 8 of those and love them. Wish they made a model of it with the hook that was a little heavier.
