Does anyone know where to get 8 string nuts that would fit a stringmaster? Or does one need to have them custom machined, or cannibalize other guitars to get 'em? I recently aquired a D8 stringmaster that somebody had set up with 6 and 7 string nuts respectively, and I'd like to return it to "normal".
Also, anybody know how many years they existed before the blend knob? Was 1953 the first year for Stringmasters? I've got a non-blend knob 26" scale, serial #0909, and I'm curious about what year it might have been born. |
