Terry wowed 'em at Joliet this year. Now we have him online!

Here are eight steel selections - Hapa Hoale, Pop Standards and Swing. All beautifully played by HSGA member Terry Miller of Vancouver, Washington.

Thanks for the great tunes Terry!

After you check out his audio selections, check out a video of Terry at the Joliet Luau - Happy Hour!

Gerald,

Thank You again for the excellent work you've done and are doing for the HSGA. I know of no-one elese over the last 15 years who has done more nor better than you have; Not that there hasn't been Others that have and deserve kudos / credit too, ...just that I don't know who. As much gas as the HSGA (Hawaii) has taken for the last 15 years (from me included), ...then kudos are certainly due when noticed; And the Mainland HSGA's excellent work is certainly due notice and credit.

THANK YOU,
Aloha,
Denny T~

Ditto, what Denny says.

The HSGA convention in Joliet help to resurrect this great steel guitar player, Terry Miller.

Several years ago, he came to Joliet, sat and listened to others playing steel which stimulated him to get his steel guitar out and start playing. This resulted in his playing at the Joliet convention in 2005 and 2006 as well as the Aloha International Convention in Winchester in 2006 after not playing for some 40 years. He had played steel professionally when he was a young man in a band, which played mostly pop standards and swing.

After laying his steel down, he then played bass guitar professionally for many years.

Incidently, I met Terry when he first came to the HSGA convention in Joliet when I lived in Michigan. As providence would have it, I moved to Vancouver, Washington where Terry lived and we since have become friends.

We regularly get together and talk shop along with another HSGA member, Gene, from Portland.

I enjoyed your steel guitar playing, Terry.

Aloha,
Don
