Do You Play Pedal Steel?
Do You Play Dobro?

Do You Play Lap Steel?

Do You Live In Southern California?

Join The
Southern California Steel Guitar Association!

An informal club exclusively for pedal steel players, lap steel players, and dobro players. We will be focusing on networking with each other, highlighting local talent, most importantly having fun and jamming, learning from each other, and helping to promote the steel guitar in the community, especially to younger players.

Well, its a club for california steelers but if you are willing to make the drive, the more the better!

We are thinking about having alternating locations for meetings so the same people dont have to drive far all the time.

We are at 42 members as of today and plan on our first meeting after the holidays. At that point we will elect official officers, plan out the agenda, etc.

I'm too lazy to reply to an email about joining, so ...

I'm in. We can meet at my place every so often. I have the ever popular music studio/Tiki bar in my garage.

I play a '51 Fender triple 8 every Friday night at a place called 'The Catalina Fish Kitchen' in Huntington Beach. We play from 7:00 to 9:30. It's located at 19171 Magnolia AVe, Huntington Beach. Corner of Magnolia and Garfield.

We play Hawaiian with a bit of jazz mixed in for good measure (ha,ha). We play in the Hawaiian style, which means we have a guest mic set up so anyone can come up and play along.

We have a number of ukulele clubs that come sit in. Also a number of jazzers we stop by and we do some standards like Satin Doll and what not.

(Stay all night, stay a little longer. Dance all night, dance a little longer...)
