When I click on a sound or video file on the Forum, my computer defaults to Windows Media Player. Previously, if I closed the Windows Media Player, the file would stop playing. For some reason, now when I close the Windows Media Player window, the file keeps on playing.
Any ideas on how to make it stop doing that? |

I hate when my system decides to start doing something different without asking me. This solution starts to really look good:

There is an option to have WMP run in a "minimized" mode and that sound like what is happening. I'm not sure where that option is or how to get around it.
But, one thing to try, in Internet Explore is to Click on Tools/Internet Options then the Advanced Tab. Reset (restore) the advanced settings, then click apply and then OK. Restart I.E. and see if that helps. Resetting the Advanced options seems to clear up many "flakey" problems.
Depending on what version of WMP you have there may be an option in it for the minimized. |

Thanks Jack. I don't use IE, I use Mozilla Firefox. I'll look and see if there is something similar on Mozilla. It drives me crazy. Music/videos keep playing, even when I close Windows Media Player. |
