Open Office a free program

Take a look at Open Office as recommended by others on the forum. It is free and will open just about any document file you already have. They also have a portable office program that you can install on a flash USB drive. My daughter is in college and she uses the flash drive program. If she is ever on a computer without Open Office or Microsoft Word, the program will operate off the flash drive.
