I am looking for someone with an early model EH 150 that has the single piece blade pole piece that will let me examine the pickup and magnet structure.
If anyone has one maybe in a parts box or in the instrument I will pay shipping and insurance on it or if you have the capability to take some measurements that would work great too.
I am specifically looking for magnet dimensions, magnetic pole orientation and mounting bracket details.
It needs to have been made around 1936 not much later or the magnets are different than what I am looking for.
I get alot of guitar players that want these and making new exact re-pros could hopefully keep EH insruments intact and bring in some more work of course, its one of the pickups poeple scavange.

Jason, I have a 1936-37 EH100 with that set-
up. There is what appears to be a stainless
steel plate aprox. 4" X 6" that holds the
long bar magnets in place. That plate is
fastened to the removable bottom of the
guitar body. When taking this apart remove
the wood screws all around the bottom of the
guitar then remove the chrome plated flat-
head spring loaded adjusting screws
from the center portion of the same bottom
piece. That will release the bottom from the
guitar while leaving the stainless plate,the
magnets, and the pick-up remaining in the
guitar with the wiring intact and undamaged.
Next week my young son is coming in early in
the week for Thanksgiving. He is bringing his
digital camera, and we are going to be taking
a lot of pictures. If there is a weak response to your post I will take the guitar
apart and we will take some pictures and some
measurements. I was a tool maker by trade so
the measurements are no problem to me.
This was my first electric steel, bought new
in 1937. So I don't wish it to be shipped
around. They're probably going to put it in
the box with me. That is if there is a box.
