Check your security settings in Internet Explorer to see if Active Scripting is disabled for the Internet Zone. If so, enable it.

For Firefox, check your Options > Content or Web Content to see if Javascript is disabled. If it is enabled, check the advanced options for Javascript to see if it is allowing windows to be raised or lowered.

Otherwise, if you have a security program from Norton, check to see if it has disabled Javascript. Also check your firewall settings. These programs often have such options enabled by default.

Is it possible that when running the install disc for the Verizon, that it installed (or at least re-configured) a new browser, and "lost" your old settings? On my SBC DSL, it always wanted to install its own browser and messenger and all that crap. Just a thought.
