Can anyone tell me how to restart a BIAB Juke-Box File after it has been paused using the "Esc" key -- without it going back to the first song in the file? I need to be able to pause it between songs then pick up at the next song in the list rather than starting the whole Juke Box list over again.

Instead of hitting esc, which stops it, click on the pause icon. To start from the same spot click pause again. The hot key is control&hold.

Wow, Howard, what a quick response. You must have been sitting there waiting for my question.
Thanks a lot -- but I can't spot a "Pause" icon on the main BIAB screen -- or perhaps I'm overlooking it. (I have BIAB 12.) Also, My computer keyboard doesn't have a "Hold" key. Any other suggestions?
I sincerely appreciate your help. (I'm setting up Juke Box files to be used in weekly live performances after Jan. 1.) |

Roy, it's CTRL and the "H" letter key.
I have the 2004 version and it has a Pause Icon. |

Thanks, Howard. It took you to tell me the trick and Jack to tell me which key to strike. Now, if I can just find that elusive "ANY" key.
BTW, the technique works great. I put a four-bar blank song between each song in the Juke Box File, so I can now pause during the four-bar silence for announcements, etc. then straight back to the Juke Box for the next song. In fact, I give the four-bar segments a name that tells me what the next song will be. It's a lot better than referring to or memorizing a list.
Thank you to both of you -- and Happy Thanksgiving (which started three minutes ago Eastern Standard time.)

Hi Roy, now you have my peaked my (sp)interest. Do you have some kind of show or music show that you use biab as a tool. It just caught my interest when you mentioned it. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to you also:-)

Hi Big Ole Bob,
My wife and I have been spending a lot of time just North of Memphis helping out our youngest daughter with her two kids that are having medical problems. We met and became friends with a nice lady who owns a restaurant there. We will be going back after Christmas for another long stay -- probably six months. The lady has asked me to play soft dinner music from 7:00 until 10:00 on Friday nights. I am programming backup music into BIAB to use for that purpose. I have bought an Edirol SD-20 "sound canvas" (for $269) through which I pass the BIAB signal to an amp. It's ideal for small venues where the proprietor can't afford an entire band, because you can program the chord progressions, tempos, number of chourses, intros, endings, etc. the way you want them and you can use bass, drums, piano, guitar and strings or any combination thereof.
