Refusing to give up the old horse

Having decided that I won't purchase a new PC unless I get a true PIV processor, which means paying at least $500, I've decided to upgrade my acient PC as best I can for as little as I can. The Result:

Went from PII Celeron to PIII $23(used)

Went from CDROM to DVD/CD-RW $64 (new)

My PC can also handle 768mg of ram if I choose to add more.

FINALLY, found a way to reload my LAN drivers(proprietary) via a necessary online tip means I'm going for the SBC DSL express tomorrow (Hey if I can get even 60k it's better than what I get now [19k, 2.5k true download speed]) $14.95 per month. When you consider I used to pay $19.95 for WebTV it's not so bad.
