MSN card game issues

I've been playing cards at the Zone for many months now. About 2 weeks ago I started experiencing problems loading the Room list. I click the "play with others" link. The page loads with ads and last of all a black page with a loading symbol is supposed to load and then the rooms appear. The last bit won't load anymore. I get varying messages but here is one: "<SCRIPT language='java" The page then turns blue. I've tried everything, deleting files, cookies, reloading, setting my security to minimum, EVEN reformatting my HD and reinstalling W98. The same problem occurs. I'm thinking they rewrote their codes but the games seem to have all the regular numbers of folks in them. Every now and then I am able to get in(very rarely). I used to play every day, now I can't play at all it's very frustrating. Anyone else experiencing problems?

First of all, Java isn't a scripting language. Javascript is a different language from Java. It lets your browser run code that's embedded in the web page.

Look at your Internet Settings and see if you maybe have Javascript disabled. That could cause the problem.

If the error message really does say <SCRIPT language="java">, then the problem is coming from the web server, not from your computer. Java is not a valid language for script.

That is the only message that appears in the active box when it fails to load. Most of the time it is blank. The only confusing part is there are still many people listed as playing, so I seem to be one of the few with this problem.

The rpoblem has been corrected so it must have been their server. Still odd that the room population appeared to be the same throughout my ordeal. Maybe it was only affecting WIN98, and most users have upgraded by now.
