Just received the best looking scam I have ever seen. Was believeable on first sight.

Was saying your Washington Mutual banking card was being changed and provided a form to fill out. Had all appropriate symbols and ect. Links even worked to banking pages.

If you look at the source of the html, you'll probably find that the links are encoded like the one below:

[url=mailto:OrderDesk@steelguitars.& #99;om?subject=Carter- Information & #82;equest ]Contact Us[/url]

This makes it hard to know exactly where your going. However, it is easy to figure out where phishers are coming from.

I recently received a SCAM claiming my EBAY account was suspened.

The give away was that it was sent to one of my EMAIL addrsses that is not ever used on my EBAY account.

there was a form and all sorts of links..credit card etc..

I did the natural thing

DELETE

Personally, anything to do with finance I delete, if it's legit and they they need to find me they will.

Most finacial institutions will address the letter to you personally with some identifying phrase that you set up in your account.

anyway, it's much easier to delete these items than fill out the forms
