I am using Win Amp to play CD's and mp3's that I have on my PC. But when I use it as an audio player, I have to set the volume a lot higher than I think I should. Same thing with Windows Media Player. Is there a way to get some volume without turning it up real high? If I forget to turn it back down, other audio stuff comes in real loud. When I listen to SteelRadio.com I don't have to turn the volume up so high.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Try double clicking the little speaker in the tray that contains the clock, etc. This will bring up Windows Mixer. Check and see where your levels are set there, and use the sliders to balance them out.

You have already checked the volume slider on Winamp, I'm sure.

Take care,

Les
