Won't re=read drives

Using Win98SE.
Using 1 DVD R
Using 1 DVD R/W

When I switch cds in each drive the computer will not read the new data.

I have to re-boot to switch cds & read them.
Any help??

Instead of re-booting...........
Just go to the "view" option on the tool bar and use the "refresh" option or better yet just press the "F5" button on the upper row of the keyboard. and that will re-read the directory of theh computer.
