I just changed ISP's and now when I try to send an e-mail through Outlook Express the pc disconnects from the internet. The new company (earthlink) changed some numbers for me three times so far. 'sup wit dat ?

Ed,

Go to the TOOLS menu and the take a look at your Accounts. There should be a tab called CONNECTIONS at the top. Make sure on the Send/Receive attributes you do not have "hang up when complete".

I installed firewall software and it screwed up my Outlook Express. I couldn't send any email that had any text in the message body.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on. I blew out the firewall software and everything was fine.
I got a cheap $40.00 router with built-in firewall software and put that between my computer and the ISP and everything is cool.
