I don't know much about these things, but this doesn't look like it is a 1934 guitar. Did they sandblast the inages on them back then? Anyway, I can't see anyone paying 30,000+ for this, what do you think?

Well, if that's above your budget, you might consider the John Denver Dobro (played on his albums!) at a 3k starting price, although the reserve needs to be met. It has a nice hole in it, at the lower bout, no extra charge for that...

bugs me that guitars bring such high prices, whatever the reason.

Lots of people are hoarding perfectly good instruments - depriving the world of their sound, and depriving musicians from using and experiencing them. I think it's sad.

Well I think there's plenty of good instruments out there for us to experience, despite the 'hoarders'. I think that anybody who'd pay a mint for an old National because 'Elvis' wrote on it is a fool. But it's their money, and they will soon enough be parted.

I think it's funny.
