Hi Doug,

There are lots of good programs out that you can use to create a website. Front Page and Dreamweaver are two very good ones. You'll need to register your domain name and purchase hosting service. Go to www.icom.com and do a 'domain search' to see available domain names. Hosting is very inexpensive; less than $10 a month. Try www.powweb.com for info on hosting. I don't know anyone at this time who does free web design, although one of our members might offer to help you out further.

Mike

Douglas,

For my website I use a company called Ready Hosting http://www.readyhosting.com they are $100/year. They are VERY reliable and you can't beat the price!

Doug,

I switched to OLM.net over a year ago, and have had great service so far. Two other friends use it based on my recommendation, and no complaints from them either.

For special rates not listed on their main page, visit this subdirectory:
www.olm.net/cnet

Hope that helps,
Doug

I like www.netfirms.com

It's free, but you have a respectable banner ad on your page. It's not a pop-up like some others. Not too bad.

If you want to get rid of the banner, and add a few more features it's only $60/year.

That's where I've had my web site for the last few years. Reliable too.

I've reccommended it to a friend's church. They're happy with it.

I just opened a second website with Netfirms and I've been impressed so far as the service and options for the price (If you even go with an option that has any fee at all!)
