Recently, I got an email that said it was from Brad Bechtel, one of the Moderators here on the forum. The subject of the email was "Steels for sale". The Mailwasher program I use caught it while it was still on the server, and identified it as being a virus.
I "talked" with Brad via email, and he assured me he didn't send it, and I'm sure he didn't. Then, a day or two later he emailed me back and informed me that he had also received an email with the subject of "Steels for sale" that contained a virus.
I don't know what particular virus it was, as I deleted it while it was still on the server. Anyway, we thought this strange, that the subject line was "steels for sale". This sounds more like a deliberate case of someone trying to cause a fellow steel player trouble, by using a subject line that would seem quite legitimate, coming from another steel player.
Anyone else had any experience with this, and/or have any ideas?
Thanks,
