I can't get the Midi volume control slider to stay put. Each tme I play a song which uses this slider, I have to go into Play Control and pull the midi slider up to hear the music. All the rest are Ok. No problems . How do I glue the sucker in one spot??????

Thanks
Joe

Is there a "Save settings"? Mine has that under Options.
Good luck!

No "save" setting. Just the "OK" button.
I took a peek the Play Control panel and the slider was up where I left it last. As soon as I clicked on a midi file it slid down to the bottom. Frustrating. I have to do this for every song I want to listen to song.???????

Thanks
Joe

Under Options/Properties do you have multiple "Mixer Device" choices? Perhaps you're setting it for one mixer device and playing back through another.

... just a guess.

Only SB Live Mixer (1400)
I have all the channels selected.

No other choices, like Apply,etc.

This is a tough one, Joe.

Make sure you're displaying the playback control settings and not the recording level settings. You toggle that using Options/Properties.

I'll have to look at my home system as I have the opposite problem. Web pages with MIDI that I visit crank the volume slider up so loud it distorts my speakers. As much as I detest RealPlayer, it may be that it is configured to play MIDI and is the culprit in both cases.
