TablEdit is a very flexible music/tab editor for All stringed instruments. There is a special "Pedal Steel Guitar" mode. You can set up any number of strings from 1 to 15, any tuning, assign whatever letters you want to pedal/lever changes or assign # or b to pedal/lever changes, select font size and style for title, numbers, letters, etc. Change the overall size of the tab, margins, number of bars per line, etc. Print your tab either with or without the standard music notation. And there is a MIDI feature so you can hear what you're composing. Create tab and notation for PSG, dobro, lap steel, guitar, bass, etc. It's the best $55 I ever spent.

There is a bit of a learning curve with TE and setting up the notation correctly requires a basic understanding of music theory. However, one may eliminate the notation and just print out the tablature.

I have both ClicTab and Tabledit. I use Clictab more because it is quicker, simpler and gets the job done. Most people do not want all the frills and just want Tab as a means to learn a song, lick etc.
The writers of both programs deserve much credit as their communication Tablature Tools are serving the Steel Guitar Community well.
Tabledit has a much cleaner print out if that is important to you.
ClicTab has other features besides tab in the software package.
Take them both or take your pick.
