Jim,

BIAB 11 is the latest version, is that correct. I would see no reason why it shouldn't load on Windows XP. What happens when you put the CD into the computer? Do you get a install scree?

What about Cakewalk? What happens there? What version are you running?

Thanks,
Mark

Jim,

OK, go to your "Start" menu and then select "My Computer". Then go to your CD drive (probably the DOh Well drive). Open that up and there should be a file named "setup.exe" go ahead and double click on that.

I can't find this option right now, but in Windows XP there is a dialog box when you pop in a cd. It gives you the option to "never open". I am suspecting that option was selected.

Jim,

Is it possible that the CD is scratched? If you can play audio CD's fine, it makes me question the CD itself not the computer. How about another piece of software, have you tried installing maybe your printer software or something like that?

Did you ever figure out your problem?

I'm curious to know what the solution was.

HI, MARK
i did manage to load BIAB&SONAR,on my pc. With BIAB what i had to do was to load the program into my temp folder and open it up from there it was the only way i could get it to load into my pc.I had no problems loading cakewalks Sonar2 onto my pc but found that i could not get any sound when i tried to play a midi file and i still cant get it to work. The BIAB works fine so i am not sure what to do next.I would be very greatfull for any help to you or any one else who could help as i do use these programs all of the time. Thanks and GOD BLESS JIM.
