Can someone give me the way to find Scan Disk on XP version ? A friend ask about it since he could not find it to run for maintainance purposes . I run Windows 98 so I have no clue about how to find it on Windows XP .I went through the steps I use to run mine but apparently XP version does not list scan disk the same way Windows 98 has it listed .

Thanks for your advise !

John-- Here's what MicroSoft says:

SUMMARY
This article describes how to check the integrity of the hard disk drive in Windows XP. After you install Windows XP, the Scandisk command is not available.

MORE INFORMATION
1.Double-click My Computer , and then right-click the hard disk drive that you want to check.
2.Click Properties , and then click Tools .
3.Under Error-checking , click Check Now .
4.Click Start .

Hope this helps. --Everett
