Hi Everyone,
Is there anyway to have 2 websites going
at once?
Like say, be able to do a jigsaw puzzle while
listening to steel radio?
Right now, when I have one or the other on the screen and try to access the other, I'll get the 'other', but the 1st site disappears.
Thanks all...ChipsAhoy

Hi Chip.
I use Winamp for the steel radio sites. Then you can use your browser for anything you want. Winamp sounds better also, as it has more sound controls, like an EQ.
I have the steel radio site (WKRP) bookmarked in Winamp like this. http://216.175.53.41:8012./
You should be able to mark and paste that into Winamp, then click on 'Bookmark' to save the entry.
If you don't have winamp, you can get it at www.winamp.com - its a free download.
Good luck,
Tom

I think what Chip is asking is can you have multiple browsers running at the same time with different web pages up at the same time.
The answer is yes, I do that all the time. At work I always have three Internet Explorer browsers running, one for the Forum, one for my Yahoo email, and another for Yahoo Finance. Besides those I also Datek's Stock Streamer and Live365 running in separate windows as well. |

Sure, Chip. When you're viewing a web page just click on FILE - NEW - WINDOW. It will open a second window and just navigate wherever you want to go. Resize them however you like by clicking and holding on the corner of the window and dragging to change its size. Click on the top bar of the window to move it wherever you like. You can have many open at once. |

Thanks, Tom, Jim, and Michael...
I did change LIVE 365 over to Winamp from their in-house mp3 player, but still could not get the 2nd website.
I'll try the FILE/NEW/WINDOW.
Thanks again, fellas.

You can also just minimize the active window you are in and just go on and open another website somehwere out there in NET land. Just not another audio site as it will take over the current active audio site.Your PC only has one sound card. The minimized programs ( sites) will be shown on your active task bar at the bottom of your screen. If you want to return to one of them just mouse click on it.
You can repeat this process until you use up all your active memory resources at which time you're PC will just plain stop all actions. The bad news is you will have to reboot. But the good news is , after that you can do it all over again ! I currently (now) have steelradio.com playing, EBAY open and this Forum as well.. I would check my 401K at Fidelity's website too but don't want to ruin my Sunday ! I'll wait until tomorrow and ruin a workday !

Tony, Thanks for those helpful tips. All these little things are really right in front of one's nose, but they can be elusive.
I've had this PC since 1998, and I'm still finding out stuff about it. Good thing I got a sense of humor.

Either not mentioned or I just missed it----instead of just clicking on a link, right click on it and select 'open in new window'. |
