A friend wants me to e-mail him a song file
I rendered to a wav file .Its pretty large.
It looks like it would take hours to send.
Has any one done this, and is there an easier
way and quicker way to do this ?
Thanks, BILL

Bill, does he also have BIAB? If so, you can just send him the BIAB file itself (*.sgu, *.mgu, etc) which is very small (often just 1K).
Assuming he does not have BIAB, you could use the BIAB program to render a midi file instead of a wav file. I think the midi will be considerably smaller.

You also might try making the wave file into MP3 file which will also be much smaller. |

Yes, there are freebie audio converters out there. Try searching at www.freeware.com or www.shareware.com under "audio converter" and see what you can find to convert either wav to mp3 or midi to mp3. There should be a bunch of choices. Good luck.

Bill, click on the little pencil when you need to edit your message.
I use Cakewalk Pyro to do audio format conversions (wav, mp3, wma). It's not free, but it's very good and has a simple user interface. It's also a very nice player.

You could compress it into a zip file. I think that would make it a little smaller in size for sending.

your friend could just download the free version of BIAB - it doesnt let you save anything, but would presumably play any BIAB file |
