I have several MP3 files on my hard drive that I would like to put on a CD. Do any of you know the best way to convert those so that they can be burnt on a CD? Do you use a certain kind of software to convert them to wavetable files or what? Thanks

Hey Doug,

I just use that "Music Match" recorder.
After you get your mp3's on there, you
just convert them to WAV files under the
options section. From there, you can
dump them onto a CD.

Hi Doug,

Another great program is Nero. This will convert the MP3 files on the fly and burn your CD at once.

Thanks guys. Where do I find Nero software? I was told about it and went to a Best Buys and they don't handle it. Do they have a web site?

The Adaptec EZ CD Creator V4 will also do that. I saw it advertised over the weekend in the Circuit City ad for $49.99 after rebates.

Hey Jack: I have adaptec software on my computer now that came with my HP CD-writer, but it is an earlier version and won't convert the files. I will check with Circuit City and see if they have an update. Thanks for the info all of you.
I also found the Nero web site. It's Nero.com --- DUH

I use Music Match Jukebox. You don't have to do anything on it, except pick the songs from your play list and then just burn to CDs. You can call me or come over to my house anytime to check it out. You can get a sample download off the net, or order the complete program off the net, but I seen it being sold recently at Office Max, I think, it might have been at Office Depot. If you buy it, I think it is $29.95. (784-1383)

Doug, I use WinAmp to convert MP3's to wav's.
If you have it you go to options, preferences, plug-ins, out and choose Nullsoft disk writer. Then go to configure and choose thefolder you want the wav's to go into. After you have all the files turned into wav's go back to preferences, plug-ins out and choose Nullsoft wave out. This might take a little practice and some getting used to. I like it, if I can help let me know.

Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to answer my questions. I have downloaded a trial copy of Nero from their site and I went out and purchased Music Match at the local Office Max. I plan to try them both. Fred since you are here locally, I plan to give you a call after I take a look at both of them. Again a great big thanks to each of who took the time to reply.
