Is this what I need to input computer sound to the stereo speakers? The RCA "Y" adapter to single RCA plug doesn't fit very well into the computer speaker jack. (It does get sound out there if held in place.) Or does it need an RCA male connector without the recessed surrounding housing (that slides onto a stereo receiver jack, e.g.)

Should be pretty standard, huh?

Thanks.

Jeff:
Most dedicated computer speakers have a 1/4 inch mini plug on the cord which plugs into the speaker jack on your soundcard.
If you want to use speakers other than those made for a computer, you need a patch cord with a stereo 1/4 mini jack for the soundcard going to two RCA phono plugs. Your speakers connect to the phono plugs.

Jeff:
Hello, and you're welcome. Just keep in mind that ordinary speakers aren't shielded, so keep them away from your computer.
