Anybody been able to head-to-head compare two different Leslie sims, the Boss RT-20 and the Line6 Rotomachine?

Both sound good on their web page samples and both offer good speed, ramp, and tone setting controls.

Right now I play thru a Fender Steel King with Fender Vibratone (with an upgraded JBL 10" and in a custom smaller cab). Sounds great with real Leslie spinning/ramping/3 -Dimensional physics and sound...but I usually also use the line out on the amp into the PA and that signal of course isn't affected. :-(

So the stomp box approach might be better...but which one?

See my recent post with sound samples on the Roto-Machine.
Here, here and here are links to some reviews in which a few reviewers compare the Roto-Machine to the aforementioned Boss unit.

I invite you to check out the Peavey Dual Deltafex, which features the ability to ramp up or down the internal rotating speaker effect. Check it out here; http://www.peavey.com/products/browse.cfm/action/detail/item/115819/number/00420020/cat/94/begin/1/Dual+DeltaFex%AE+Stereo+Effects+Processor.cfm

H & K Rotosphere. Dirty, swirly, funky and noisy...just like a real leslie; but no belts to wear out. I find it the most realistic. (I've has 122 147 and 675 (the powerful solidstate) as well as Fender Leslie.)

I've tried mine through my 122 and modified 45 Leslies and it doesn't do a thing for me imho.
My Roland VK8 and C3 Hammond sound much better through the Leslie than either of my steels do.

I've been thinking about trying some of the Moog filter pedals with my steel. Anybody ever use them?

I have no idea if the Roto-Machine is any better or worse than all the other pedals. It sounds better than my Fender/Leslie Model 16 and is a lot lighter. Guess I'll keep it and just use it for another sound in the arsenal. I bought it as a tonecore module with the stereo docking station so it does give me the option of adding more modules later. I also tried and returned the Verbzilla module. It just sounded too much like an echo chamber and not enough like a reverb tank although it did offer a nice reverb/echo combination.

I haven't located the lead weight they buried in this thing but it has to be the heaviest pedal I have ever seen!

Wouldn't you know the Goodrich 120 pot pedal is starting to go bad. I've got another pot for it but maybe I'll clean/lube it first with Caig DeoxIT. You can hear it making some noise.
