Does anyone have the wiring diagram for one of the early models? Mine has the Tone & Timber knob on top with the slide switch. On the bottom it has a tone control. I want to install a DPDT switch in place of the external power jack and rewire the input and output jacks for a true bypass. Chick Donner had a post a few years ago about this and I'm desperate to do it to mine. I don't like the tone when I'm not using it in "Reso" mode. I can fax someone a drawing of the wires I see in mine and would gladly accept a fax with a drawing on how to wire the switch. If needed I have friends who do electronic work everyday and they'll do the mod for me. Thanks, Marty Broussard

The schematics for Goodrich products are only kept by Goodrich.

I have one of the original models like yours with the tone control in the bypass position.

If you follow the wiring from the input and the output it would be pretty easy to add a switch for full bypass. I've considered that myself but just never got "roundtuit". I did install a on/off power switch on mine that is in series with the ground power connection on the input jack. Doing it that way allows turning off the unit with the switch or unplugging the input jack. Also since the switch is in series with the input jack's power connection it requires both the guitar cord be inserted in the jack and power switch set to on to have power. Something that Goodrich should have done to start with.

Back to the "bypass" switch. The only issue is finding a location to install it. My first choice would have been a different slide switch with three positions (dobro effect off/dobro effect on/complete bypass) but there isn't enough room to install it in place of the original switch.

Jack, I used to have a stock of "Round Tuits" but I used them all up....I asked the manufacturer for more, but he said he couldn't get a round tuit anymore. Now I don't get anything done!!
