Has anyone had experience with the Nashville
Pro amp? If so, please tell me how many
watts it has and what your overall opinion
is of this amp and about how much do you
think it weighs. I sure will appreciate it.
Oh!!! Is the 4 ohm Altec speaker suitable
for steel guitar?

Jim,
That amp is an offshoot of the old Sho-Bud single channel amp. It was made in Cincinnati for Gretsch, who had purchased the Sho-Bud brand, as I understand it. It's a very good sounding amp using jfet transistors like the Evans and Webb amps. Only has 60 watts of output power, but it's a loud 60 watts. They came with an Altec speaker. The cabinet is well made, but it's very heavy. The power/weight ratio is pretty low, but it is a real sweet tone machine, for a transistor amp. 
I've heard that they only made a few of those amps, maybe a few dozen or so, but I can't remember.
Sometimes they get hissy, but you can replace the two jfets in the preamp to quiet them down. Woody Woodell in TN has replacements.

| Awesome tone. Stiffest mids you ever heard. I have 2 of them and will probably get a 3rd. They do weigh a bit, however. |
