Have any of you tried the DigiTech RP100 Multi-Effects pedal? It appears to have many features for the small price and I am curious about its quality. ...Lefty

Lefty, they are a great little unit as long as you don't need compression. I bought one for my son and was super impressed with it until I used the compressor. There was either something wrong with it or it induced about a 25 to 50 ms delay when it was turned on.

All of the other effects were very high quality for a 65.00 price tag at least that's what I got mine for here in town at Guitar center.

They are very cool little units the reverb is even usable in the studio.

I have the RP50(no pdeal) and don't use it often. I have found that the tone becomes very trebly, even when the pedal is on bypass. The EQ is very different with the pedal in or out of the circuit. JP

A lot of effect units will tend to "color" or change the tone even in the bypass mode. I can't speak about the subject Digitech units but I tried 4 Boss RV3's and they all tended to make the steel slightly "trebly". However I have a DD5 and it doesn't affect the tone at all in bypass.
